How do I set up my Appointment Book and start accepting Make-A-Date sessions? (view answer)
Setting up your appointment book involves nothing more than a few mouse clicks and about 60 seconds of your time. It's as easy as 1-2-3: Just go to the Webcam Model Console and select the "Make-A-Date Date Book & Availability Calendar" link. The setup program will ask you to do three simple things: (1) Set up your default prices, (2) set up your default times and dates, and (3) customize individual dates. It's as easy as pie, and once accomplished, viewers can schedule Make-A-Date sessions with you!
How do I know when a viewer has set up an appointment with me? (view answer)
iFriends notifies you immediately. We'll send an email to the email address you have on file with us. (To update your email information on file with us, go to the Webcam Model Console, and select the option "ID-Card Manager".
Does iFriends send me reminders before the Make-A-Date appointment? (view answer)
Here's what to expect: After receiving the initial email informing you of the scheduled Make-A-Date session, you'll receive "reminder" notifications 48 hours before the Make-A-Date session, 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours and 30 minutes, and a final reminder 5 minutes before the scheduled session is to begin. Each email notification contains all the details of the Make-A-Date session reservation, plus a custom link to click on to begin your Make-A-Date session. (When you click this link, you're taken to an "expedited sign-in" form specifically for your iFriends Make-A-Date session).
What if a viewer buys 30 minutes, but stays for 40 minutes? (view answer)
Additional minutes are billed at the pro-rata per-minute rate. For example, if the viewer purchased 30 minutes for $45 ($1.50 a minute), but spends 40 minutes in your room, the additional ten minutes are billed at the pro-rata rate of $1.50 per minute. In other words, the viewer is charged an extra $15 for the extra ten minutes.
Will I get paid if the viewer is a no-show? (view answer)
When a viewer books a Make-A-Date session, guaranteeing time with you, it's just like money in the bank! The only exceptions: if you are unable to make the appointment or the viewer is a no-show, or if the viewer has technical troubles preventing him from participating in the Make-A-Date session. Additionally, you both may agree to cancel the Make-A-Date and reschedule a replacement session (see Cancellation Form).
When and how do I get paid for the Make-A-Date session? (view answer)
When a iFriends viewer books a Make-A-Date session with you, the viewer's credit card is charged immediately, and you will receive your regular payout percentage of all proceeds from that Make-A-Date session, as well as additional minutes beyond the purchased minimum. (The only way that you can lose the $$$ is if you don't show up for your Make-A-Date appointment). Before the actual Make-A-Date session takes place, you'll see your accrued dollars in the "Pending Appointments" facility of the Make-A-Date Sessions Manager. After the Make-A-Date session takes place, you'll see the actual transaction in your regular stats report, and your next check will include your fees from the Make-A-Date session.
Will I get credit if I conduct the Make-A-Date session outside of iFriends? (view answer)
To ensure accurate billing and collection, Make-A-Date sessions booked through the iFriends Make-A-Date Appointment Book must take place on iFriends. (We set up a special private room for both you and the viewer, with custom links to that room issued in the "reminder" emails we send both parties in the days and hours preceding the scheduled session).
Does the iFriends Make-A-Date session facility support sound and other "extras"? (view answer)
Yes. Because your Make-A-Date session takes place on iFriends, you're in familiar territory, and you have access to all the goodies - including sound, Cam2Cam, and iFriends built-in fraud-control and expert user-tracking system. Plus, the viewer needs nothing more than a standard, off-the-shelf browser to enjoy your company. It's as hassle-free as you can get!
What if the viewer and I want to cancel or reschedule a Make-A-Date session? (view answer)
Both you and the viewer must visit the Make-A-Date Session Cancellation Form located at https://www.ifriends.net/ifpage.dll?t=site/General/
CustomerService/privates/cancel, and indicate the Make-A-Date session number to cancel.
(The Make-A-Date session number is included in each Make-A-Date session email reminder sent to viewers and models). Note: The Make-A-Date session will not be cancelled until both viewer and webcam model
have completed this form. A Make-A-Date session can be cancelled up until the scheduled beginning time, and for one hour after the scheduled beginning time.
In the event that you and a viewer want to reschedule a Make-A-Date session (perhaps as a result of a scheduling limitation or a technical problem), you should both cancel
the original session, and invite the viewer to book a new session.
How is this Make-A-Date session facility different from "impromptu" private sessions? (view answer)
An "impromptu" private session is a private session that you and a viewer may begin at any time, when you indicate a "Private Access Code" in the "Private Session" section when you're signing in your video chatroom. When you do so, any viewer can enter your room if the viewer knows the private access code "password". By contrast, the pre-scheduled Make-A-Date scheduler is the opposite of an impromptu private session, in that the viewer can schedule a Make-A-Date session well in advance. At the appointed time, you click on an "expedited sign-in" link that we email to you, and the viewer clicks on a similar link that we email to him, and a split-second later, you're both in your cozy and private iFriends video chatroom.
I'm going on vacation next month, and I can't figure out how to remove these days from my Calendar. (view answer)
To remove any specific date from your calendar, (December 25th, for example) use the "Customize Individual Days" feature of the Make-A-Date Sessions Manager, click on the day you want to remove, and deselect all the times. Then submit the form by clicking on the "Save Changes for ...." button. Repeat procedure for any other days you wish to remove.
When do I get charged for a Make-A-Date session? (view answer)
Booking a Make-A-Date session is just like booking a seat on a commercial jetliner. The price plan you select will be applied to your credit card, and any necessary adjustments will be made later. For example, if the webcam model is a "no-show", your purchase will be applied to future use on the iFriends site. Additionally, if you and the model agree to cancel an upcoming Make-A-Date session, but your credit card has already been charged for the session, your purchase will be credited for future use on the iFriends site.

What if *I* book a Make-A-Date and don't show up? (view answer)
Remember, booking a Make-A-Date with a iFriends webcam model (guaranteeing you time with that model) is just like buying a non-refundable airline ticket (guaranteeing you a seat on the plane). If you buy time with a model, but don't show up, you will be billed. The only exception: If you and the webcam model mutually agree to cancel & reschedule the missed Make-A-Date (see the Cancellation Form), you will only be billed for the single Make-A-Date session.
What if the webcam model urges me to conduct the Make-A-Date session outside of iFriends? (view answer)
You'll probably get charged twice for the same Make-A-Date session -- once by iFriends, and again by the other service. webcam models are forbidden to use iFriends's facilities to promote outside web services that do "privates". So, if a model urges you to conduct your Make-A-Date outside of iFriends, please notify us immediately.
What if I buy 30 minutes, but stay for 40 minutes? (view answer)
The extra time will be charged at the pro-rata per-minute rate. For example, if the 30-minute session cost $45 (average of $1.50 per minute), the additional ten minutes will cost $15 (10 times $1.50 per minute).
What if I buy 30 minutes, but stay for only 20 minutes? (view answer)
Always get what you pay for! If you buy 30 minutes, stay for the duration. (Why does it work this way? Consider the commercial airliner analogy: If you book a one-way ticket from New York to Los Angeles for $1,000, with a stopover in Chicago, and you decide to stay in Chicago for a few days, you've only flown half the distance. But United Airlines still charges you $1,000.)

Both you and the webcam model should go the Make-A-Date session Cancellation Form, identify the session number to cancel, and submit the form. Note: The Make-A-Date session is not cancelled until both you and the model have completed this form. You can cancel a Make-A-Date session from the moment it's booked up to one hour after the scheduled beginning time. Cancellation of a Make-A-Date session in this manner results in a credit issued to your account which will be applied to future iFriends use.
